An emergency meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the office of the superintendent at Hillside Elementary School beginning at 7:00 a.m. Present for the meeting were Mitch Couture, Martha Laflamme, Karin Dorval, Corinne Cascadden, and Marion Huntley.
COMMENTS None
NON PUBLIC On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to go into nonpublic session at 7:02 a.m. in accordance with RSA 91-A3II, (a). On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to come out of nonpublic session at 7:35 a.m. The motion passed unanimously. No additional votes were taken in nonpublic session.
BEA PROPOSAL As the Board continued to review the BEA proposal, they determined they were not comfortable with the language which it contained. On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to not accept the BEA proposal. The motion passed unanimously. The Board is appreciative of the efforts made by the BEA, and looks forward to negotiating with the Association in the fall.
ADJOURN On a motion Martha Laflamme, seconded by Karin Dorval, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 7:45 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.
